In recognition of the steadfast international and regional efforts to address the intensifying crisis in Sudan, resulting from a war unilaterally ignited by the authoritarian former regime and its allies within the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) leadership, we unequivocally reaffirm our commitment to the principles of peace, inclusivity, and dialogue.

Today, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) delegation has arrived in Geneva upon the invitation of the United States. This crucial effort aims to secure a nationwide cessation of hostilities, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and establish a robust mechanism for monitoring and ensuring the strict implementation of any agreements reached.

The arrival of our delegation is a powerful testament to our resolve and determination to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people. It underscores our proactive engagement with all regional and international initiatives to bring an end to this war and achieve a lasting and just peace.

We are fully committed to engaging in constructive and impactful discussions that will enable the swift delivery of humanitarian assistance to all those devastated by the conflict and to exploring effective mechanisms that enhance the protection of civilians.

We strongly urge the SAF delegation to adopt an independent stance in responding to this invitation, free from any external influence, particularly that of the terrorist Islamic Movement and the former regime, and to commit to fulfilling the democratic aspirations of the Sudanese people.

Our aim is to forge with the people of our great nation the foundation for a renewed state, grounded in democracy, sustainable peace, and equality for all.
